It’s another hot summer night outside in Birmingham, AL. Tonight, Mike discusses a near miss he had passing a fiery car wreck on his way to work this week and two other near death experiences he’s had in his life; Barnes n’ Noble; the Criterion Collection; Playstation 2 reviews (“Jaws Unleashed”, “Red Dead Revolver”, “Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick"); confusing civilians for store clerks; dealing with a broken down car and would the world be better off if we all worked from home (less car accidents, etc.)?; movie reviews (“Dazed and Confused” *1993* and “Everybody Wants Some” *2016*); Northern-based Utz potato chips buying Birmingham-based Golden Flake; “The Blair Witch Project” re-make is being directed by a guy who is originally from Birmingham and other locals who have gone on to make good (St. Paul and the Broken Bones, the “Swiss Army Man” director).
